About the Big 3 Palladium Orchestra|Established 2001,New York City.

In the 1950's, America fell in love with the Mambo and the best place to hear this electrifying music was at the Palladium Ballroom in New York City.  Sold-out Big 3 Palladium Orchestracrowds came to see the now legendary musical battles that took place between giants of the genre Machito, Tito Rodriguez and Tito Puente, otherwise known as "The Big 3".  This musical era is recreated by the BIG 3 PALLADIUM ORCHESTRA, led by sons of the maestros and comprised of many musicians from the original bands.Machito Jr.(Mario Grillo), and Tito Rodriguez Jr.,both accomplished percussionist's,co-lead the orchestra. The Big 3 Palladium Orchestra made their debut at the Verizon Festival in New York City in 2001, and has since garnered continuous praise, "...the Big 3 Palladium Orchestra may rank as the most brilliant large Latin Jazz ensemble this side of Havana" (Chicago Tribune).  Since their debut, The Big 3 Palladium Orchestra has performed for capacity crowds at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, The Concord Jazz Festival in San Francisco and the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Additional concerts in Ravinia Festival, Chicago, Tanglewood Festival, Ma., Detroit Concert of Colors, University of Tennesse, Knoxville, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, University of Texas, San Antonio, California State University, Los Angeles,Jacksonville Florida Jazz Festival, Milan and Rome, Italy, Pori Jazz Festival, Finland and The Vic-Fezensac Festival,France.
